~ I had a Dream

When I dozed off into a deep sleep

Curled eyelashes smiled

Cheeks blushed and

My mouth that peaceful

I saw a new world,

One of pink travels

Cotton visions

And surreal love

I had a dream

I walked through

Shadowed roads

Winked to silken skies

Smelled the Cherry Blossom

Danced in circles

Sung out loud

Faced my youth

Into deeper levels

I had a dream

Heard a violin, a Cello

And some piano notes

I touched the sky

And kissed the ground

Walked by the fields of hope

Resting and lying on my back

Then I smiled and smelled

My pillow

I must have had a dream

I think it's interesting how we are able to do anything in our dreams as opposed to real life...also see anything, touch and smell anything, go anywhere we'd like. Our minds always take us to new places or just the places we'd like to be. Our dreams are the perfect place for fantasy to take place :)

Great poem! I really enjoyed the flow and feel of it as I read. For some reason the title stuck out to me, for some reason it reminds me of Martin Luther King's speech "I have a dream"

Aw, you're welcome fellow writer.... I look forward to read more of you!
Very smooth and natural feel to the language in this, indeed very much like a dream. And I like the way you broke the poem up, the reader's eyes and mind love this because it follows your most probable form of speaking; how you intended us to hear your voice... The pause. The whisper.... The chorus of the poem "I have a dream" worked well. and that twist in the end worked well, also. Nice job here Eli

Hey Beauty! Oh so happy you enjoyed it... thank you dearest xoxoxo
And many more to come too, I hope. First thing I would like to say on this piece is, how strange. I was only talking of cherry blossoms to someone on here yesterday. I love their smell in the rain, but anyhoo....back to the plot.
I also think this says a lot about your dear self Elisa, as well as the hopes, dreams and wishes you have for yourself and others. How wonderful a world would it be if we all danced in circles and sang out loud. This shows a beautiful heart, and mind at play. Keep touching the sky Rlisa :-)
