~ The Silent Rose

Words spoken out loud,

In a dream of silence

Days, run away like trains

On rusty railways

Doors open, for new passengers

But I'm holding on my rose,

Petals with each a story

To climb in my daily mind

To tell me; as they keep me moving

With the color of deep red

Fragrance and mortality,

Are born in little treasures...

I Watch them fall down

Piece by piece slowly on my knee

Splendid imagery in this one, Elisa. I could almost see the petals falling slowly and tickling her knee. The music is hauntingly beautiful! "Days, run away like trains on rusty railways" heart touching emotion here, my friend. Excellent work. Knuffels, Lydi**

I was originally going to say this was sad. But now I'm going to say this is full of pathos. Which is another thing altogether.

Thank you so much for feeling the pathos Ken, till soon..
There is something very special about your poems, they all seem so dream-like but so very real. Reagrdless of the picture you paint, I can see it clearly in my mind. It is a very real experience Dear Elisa whan I read one of you poems. I feel as if I am outside of my own being immersed in another life. This was absolutely beautiful and like an invitation into your world. I truly loved this poem. I hear this read in whispers upon a cool breeze.

The video in your notes began playing on my computer automatically, and I'm really happy it did. The mood went beautifully with your words. This is an amazing piece written by a writer with--likewise--amazing potential. Keep doing this, and you'll go somewhere one day.

This poetic piece is one of my favorite too! It contain so much pain and so much truth, it`s so vivid and colored in red, it has all symbols of life and of going time", we are looking our life going slowly like petals of rose, all is inside our memories for the past and future too.

Sometimes in life we dont want to move on...
we just want to stay there still with each piece of memory we have
I felt the petals were like memories, each with their own fragrance..
Slowly when the realization of time creeps into our minds, we feel the memories dying..Like watching them fall on your knees ...
How amazing are first two lines...I keep on reading it again and again...
It just gets better and better...After reading this poem, I realized that great poems have nothing to do with great lengths, rhymes and "never ever heard of" words!!!!
This is something really connecting with the readers...Good job :)

A fragrant moment, a moment within contemplative moment. It gives me peace to read this. As time passes by may we appreciate these petals, before the wind catches them and blows them away with our memories...
How I feel when I read this. Beautiful dear Elisa.

Thank you so much my fellow writer, feel so honored by your words xx
I could smell the rose in the line "Fragrance and mortality," as you breath in the delicate rose held like a prayer. I felt the petals shake the earth as the fell beside knees that were planted in dark soil. This poem takes me to one of life's pleading moments. Yet this pleading was more silent than the sound of those same fragrant rose red pieces of life floating to kiss the soil they came from.
A lovely picture.
