I wish I was the rain

I wish I was the rain

A Poem by Xuannu5810

Some times I wish I was the rain.

I would fall and touch those around me

Permeating all the corners that they hide from the world

Keeping them silent company when no one else will..

I would fall and give life to plants

Making them bloom in beautiful arrays

And give the world something to smile about

I would pour and make people grow closer

Cuddling under a thick blanket with

Nothing more than the pitter-patter of my drops

And the heartbeat of the one they love.

I would be the companion to the lost and lonely

Giving them a voice to listen to when there is no one else.

Telling them that after their storm the sun will again rise.

Sometimes I wish I was the rain.

I could disappear but never be forgotten.

I would become a presence in a memory,

A desire of a person, a stamp upon nature.

I would be the misery to struggling characters,

The beginning of the rebirth of time.

I would be the romance to young couples

And the temptation to every child.

I would be so many things at any one moment

Yet in another, I would be nothing at all,

A molecule in a constant cycle of life.

I would fall and pour till there was nothing left,

Then without any remorse, I would move on

And assist others who needed me.

A Background to the creative, a tempest to the wicked.

I would be all this and more

A never-ending entity,

Immortal.

I like the deep and emotional feel this poem conveys. It's so easy to feel these emotions, but not so easy to express as well as you do here. Great write X!

Rain, so peaceful and calming, at times. Food for thought and food for things that grow on earth.
