There is something about words and the people that wield them...

Are you a writer?
Do you wield the pen and paper?
Do you choose to fight with words over all else?
I hope so...
Writers are truly special.
Those who create and destroy entire worlds with just the pen.
Those who see our own world with something different in their eyes.
Pen,
Mightier than the sword.
Words,
Instruments of creation.
Paper,
The field where it all grows.
Writers have these all in common.
The foundation of unity,
Amongst visions so different.
Yet we all on this journey,
Come to this fork.
A choice.
A decision.
A question,
We must answer.
To whom do we write?
For ourselves?
For others?
Whom are your words for?
For others,
The approval of the people.
The thrill of having your voice heard.
Your vision seen,
And loved by the crowd.
Yet being at the mercy,
Of those who may never understand you.
For yourself,
The freedom of being judge and jury.
The audience of your own opera.
The spectator to your vision.
Writing for the writer.
Or writing for the reader.
If the answer was yes,
Than you understand.
If not,
Than this isn't for you.
It is for those,
Who do not see the world through the eyes of others.
It is for those,
Who capture the world itself in their own words.
It is for those,
Who see the vision and pick up the pen to capture it.
Stay true to your words.
Because there is no going back.
There is no wasted breath or penstroke.
Becsuse what if you wake up,
And the vision is gone?
