A cocktail of kaleidoscope

A cocktail of kaleidoscope

A Poem by S.zaynab.kamoonpury
"

Alliteration form, Scenes in cities ,meadows and outskirts of towns

"
Cows milked: mitigated mooing in the meadows then.
Weaving on the warp, some workaholic women.

Harvest of hapless halibuts on hooks
Bookish book-worms buried in books

A palomino and a pony patter on the paving
Hucksters and hawkers hawking every housing.

Ravers out on the razzle raising a raucous razz-ma-tazz
Beavers busy building beaver-dams but about it quite blasé.

Doves cooing in divine chorus
Frogs frisking out of focus
Horoscopes are hocus pocus.

Tidal waves of tsunami treacherously tread
Sea-anemones scattered upon the sea-bed.

Geraniums genuflecting in jungle-like gardens
Hunters wary of wandering wild-life wardens.

All this when I ventured about watching videos or videotaping
God's nature is marvelous even without any landscaping

These are direly different scenes from different parts of the globe
Perhaps like a space probe's kaleidoscopic poetic probe

Hi, thanks soo much for nice comment, glad it was enjoyable for you! Cheers!
"even without any landscaping" I love this line specially because many ignore those little creatures which make that landscape lively. wonderful and very lovely to read my friend, the thought behind all of this is brilliant and speaks of kindness to the whole world. Thank You for sharing 💕

Great alliteration and rhyming in these couplets. Great love of nature in every line. These days, we see more on line than we do out in the world. Sad, but true. Hopefully soon we will venture out again. Lydi**

When we can't visit all the wonderful places gifted to us on this earth, we are certainly fortunate that science allows us to see them by video. Yes I am a great watcher of nature programmes. Can't get enough of them. It never ceases to amaze me the wonders of all creatures great and small, all the flowers and fauna, the sunrises and sunsets, the oceans, rivers, mountains and deserts. Dear Zay Zay, your poem is not just a feast of alliteration but it offers great imagery in the lines where it travels. Hoping you and your dear ones are well.
