Forevermore

Down the path that I had followed,
I knew the white one awaited tomorrow.
To find and seek answers true,
And emerge to a life anew.
Mine was a dark sort,
Where secrets lurked
And I knew not what I would find.
While his was of the light,
Where fires burned bright.
How could I compare to thee?
What hope could I free?
Yet, he continued to come to me
And found what I had lost
Hidden deep within the frost,
That covered my soul.
A starlit path upon my role
Of this destiny, Of our tale
At last I understood
That Black and White would be forevermore.…
