Beauty of the Night

Beauty of the Night

A Poem by Zoey Balderston

And as the light fades against the western horizon, day transforms peacefully into night.

I, however, am not so peaceful.

As the pain and loneliness mix with the morbid beauty of the night, a single glistening tear rolls down my cheek.

That first line was beautiful poetry, I can see it all happening in my mind so clearly.

Enjoyed the contrast between the night-ful peace and your own inner unrest. ( : O )

So many things went through my head just from reading these three sentences. Night is a time of beauty, but it also seems like the night allows you to be sad without shame, because it too is dark. A troubled mind and the night I think are two sides of the same coin. Well done :)
