Let me lie awhile with you

Let me lie awhile with you

A Poem by Abdul Aziz

Before the sky decides to kiss you,

Falling to the ground,

Breaking into infinite

Infinitesimal pieces of calming blue,

Splashing upon us the cerulean waters of life,

Let me lie awhile with you,

Gazing into your blue iris that reflects

The sheet of azure winking at you,

And talking of how the sky feels dull without you.

My heart, be still; your lonely will

Is perched upon my skin.

A thousand dreams, delectable

Are what I find within.

Before this army of red-drenched roses

Sheds its thorns and bathes you

With the crimson velvet petals

Of a thousand young blossoms

Dissolving on your cherry-red lips,

Let me lie awhile with you,

My fingers tracing the yet-to-dissolve roses

On the contour of your lips,

Inhaling the fragrance of your thoughts.

My heart, awake! And seize the day

For here she lies with you.

A thousand dreams can wait today;

For here she lies, for true.

Before the gardens of tomorrow

Come running with their clothes of green,

To save your innocence

And cling to envious faces, jealous of your auburn hair,

Let me lie awhile with you

And talk about the malachite

Hues of nature,

And talk about you,

And things that make no sense.

My heart, the special hour is now,

And time has crawled, to cease.

She waits for you to speak today;

Now find your true release.

This is beautiful..and also peaceful...it lingers on like an endless love note and as it ends your readers still don't want you to end it..it is that beautiful..:)
I like how you start the best..Falling to the ground,

Breaking into infinite

Infinitesimal pieces of calming blue,

Splashing upon us the cerulean waters of life,
Very eloquent imagery..as i try and imagine the sky falling into infinitesimal pieces of calming blue,it immediately brings upon me a sense of tranquil :)..
This seems like one of the moments when we simply want to let go of mundane around us and give in ourselves to the nature throbbing around us and our loved ones...

Too much colors brightening up the environment here. A bunch of phrases light up the whole poem ("Splashing upon us the cerulean waters of life", "Inhaling the fragrance of your thoughts" et cetera). I especially loved the stanzas where you're urging and ebbing the heart to 'her'-consciousness. I must mention one thing though - Imagery is good. But too much of it feels like a weird modern art painting, full of colors. Maybe other will love it. But, I strongly feel there should be a control on the imagery (Especially on one that would be otherwise heart-like and beautiful). Keep writing.

literally this is "awesome" buddy . i really loved the way you have expressed the yearning desire to spend the treasured moments with 'her' and for that span of time everything else can wait .. 'true release' ~ how true yet how elusive .. glad that i stopped by to review .
