One Year Later

One Year Later

A Poem by CherryBomb

Its so complicated for one to understand ones prescriptive toward each other.
Ones character may strive too weak to see the cries from another.
The smiles and loud jesters are a mask
Why is it so crucial just to ask?
That spark glimpsed like never before the day our eyes met
I thought surely you and I were correct
The moment we kissed; I knew it.
My skinned heart instantly lit.
I got front row-
to a firework show.
We know the concept; that friends come before
Its too bad they all thought I was a w***e
That ruined us so fast
I really thought you and I would last
I've experienced a civil war
You broke my broken heart even more
Your innocent green eyes
Every time we had our hugs goodbye
You enhanced grey into the air
Blinding me into thinking you actually  care
You lied through your teeth
Hiding honesty beneath
I will always remember
The 27th of September
The day you captured my heart
Nailing it with a dart
Even though its been one year
Its not difficult for me to hear
Your dreams aloud
Your still so proud
For requesting my death
