You're Immature

You're Immature

A Poem by alexa.garrison
"

Poem about a relationship that I knew ended for the best.

"

I feel as though we've grown apart,
Gone our separate ways.
I was always looking ahead,
As you were walking away.

We fought,
It seemed as though we never got along.
I knew we had problems,
Problems that needed resolved.

I never realized,
Until it was too late,
What the true problem was
But the truth arose at a later date.

I wanted my future,
You chased your present.
I caught my dreams
As you tried forgetting me,
Oh so childishly.

Baby,
The truth is I'm better than you.
The truth is,
You are much too immature.
