I've been hurt before
So I built the wall
Around inside of me
Not just anyone can enter
Barely anyone made it to the inside
But with you, it's different
You walked right in
I don't know how it happened
It just did
Like you knew me
And you had the key for the wall I built
You had this hold on me
I didn't want it
But I didn't want to live without it
I didn't want to fall for you
Didn't want to crash on the floor
But the more you stayed
The more I fell
I couldn't help it
When afraid I was going to hit the ground
You catched me
I let you in more and more
And I knew I was giving you the chance to hurt me
To destroy everything I had built
But you never did
Because with you, it's different

I really liked this. Unlike MY work, (haha) it has a very hopeful undertone that altogether fits this poem quite nicely. A refreshing read. Nicely done !
