Loving a Liar

She loved him more than life,

He cut her deeply with his knife.

Her heart slowly bled.

She cried softly and said,

“Darling, I still love you so.”

 

Quickly he turned away.

“I’m sorry,” was all he could say.

In pain she cried,

“Sweetheart, you lied…”

With shame he sighed.

 

“I wish I could stay,

But what can I say?

I never loved you,

Every word was never true.”

He said as he walked away.

Oh wow. Oh wow oh wow this is awesome. This is one of my new favorites. It's completely full impact while making the reader think of someone that has done this to them. I just love the imagery and the characters you created with just simple words... It's amazing. It's so simple, but beautiful. I absolutely love it.
