On the salt plains of your travels.

On the salt plains of your travels.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Salination peaked,
the banks broken,
where once tears reigned,
now leaving
a trail of salt.
While the river ran dry
that once flowed,
lies a grand canyon,
of love parched on
blood empty,
and a heart cured
on air dried love.

Loved the imagery, its different and inspiring. The heart, like leather cured to be tough and impermeable....

Hahaha. Seems we posted similar thematic pieces at the same time!

This piece has a very delicate sadness, beautifully worded and with excellent use of images and metaphor.

These eloquently written pieces are taking your poetry to a higher plane. Very well done!
