The hook that hangs a Cape.

Batman hangs up his cape for the last time,

all the goodies, but baddies are no more.... gone;

Catwoman, the Riddler, the Joker, the Penguin just to name a few,

and while there are plenty out there still,

he has no desire for real crime,

it just isn't fun.

Besides, as far as he is concerned,

everyone today is a villain.

Ahhh. Great memories of that series! I used to be glued to the TV as a kid when they put the re-runs of that on. And SBS has just brought it back for another run. Holy Macaroni, Batman!

R.I.P. Adam West...you are missed. Great tribute to the original and iconic Batman. Some of us here grew up with the "campy" tv characters in the 60s, and hold them dear still. Pure fun and innocence. "Everyone today is a villain", the "POW" is no more...sad.

What fun it would have been to do a show like that with all those quirky lines. I think it was a clever show.I grew up with the series and loved Catwoman.

Yes it must have been such a trip! That show had absolutely great writing, although panned by the critics-nothing like it before or since. Julie Newmar as Catwoman was stunning! Fun was fun then- pure and simple. Loved the Riddler, Frank Gorshin- "Riddle me this, Batman!" Ha!
