I once knew a girl...

I once knew a girl...

A Poem by Amanda J. S.
"

....

"

She always had a wide smirk planted on her beautiful face

Was always welcoming

Always radiating glee.

But her soul wasn't alight with that same happiness.

I could clearly spot that torment,

Behind those big blue eyes of hers.

She was wearing a mask every day,

I think.

Wouldn’t want people to feel sorry for her,

To think that she was weak.

But her real problem was,

I think,

That she was hiding it,

The sorrow,

The depression.

Because people thought that she was alright.

People thought that she was truly…

Happy.

Only I saw that she wasn’t

And I alone

Couldn't save her.

well written and very deep...kind of depressing really that people like this have no one in the world that they can trust enough to show their true feelings.

np!!:)
I like it.
It's expressive and it has a deepness to it that it like.
Relatable too (at least for me).
Keep writing!

Thank you! ^^
Some people can trick the world. They allow few people into their life and thoughts. I like the story and the ending. Hard to change someone. Take time and a lot of effort. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

I like this one, and everyone hides all the time, only the courage ones are dare to stand our speaking everything they feel like... But however, I do think one person can help a girl like this, but guess there maybe other reason of why the girl wasn't saved... it left me thinking...
Nice written!
