Hope to the END

Hope to the END

A Poem by Imperfection

Hope had entrapped my soul

My vision blurred,

I had braved ahead,

Kept moving until I was lifeless.

Aw, this is such a sad view of hope. It makes me really sad.

"entrapped" sounded kinda funny to me in that sentence. Like the grammar is fine, but I think you could've used a better word.

I think it's amazing how people can right such a short poem, and really create an effect on the reader.

Thanks for entering.

Though hope lets us down, we still cling to it and it keeps us going on. Thank you for sharing. debileah

Its good but its so short. Just when i started getting the feeling of the poem or getting the feel for it, it was over...
Thanks.

Yes, strange how hope can keep us moving but in the end it slowly destroys us, because we hope for more than this world can give. This poem and my "My world" do share the same theme. I'm glad to see our views connect so well. Great write!

I suppose hope can seem to be a useless thing...a waste of time even....its a little like love i think...one of those things u have to have faith in...tho u cannot see it , smell it,feel it,touch it, etc....it IS there...and if it werent for hope and love and faith where would we be? you and I are hearts of stone alike my friend....begging to love again...to forgive...maybe ourselves???? keep writing...your words are cathartic...for me as well and for that i cannot thank u enough.

Hope can be the harshest prison of them all. It blinds us to the truth and makes us hang on to things that have already sailed past.

hope leading to an empty feeling. this happens often and proves once again it is better to blaze your own path as the rewards and even failures are sweeter. ~peace~
