...think you know?

...think you know?

A Poem by Imperfection
"

I often wonder ... what does he think of me, about me...?

"

When I think of what you think of me,

I imagine what you might foresee

Perhaps you think I’ve moved on,

Happily awakened to a brand new dawn

Nestled contentedly someplace else

Maybe you can even hear my wedding bells

But the truth is what you do not know

For I’ve never liked my wounds to show

Honestly dear I love you still

And probably, I always will

Your love in my heart, has been kept alive

How else do you think I could’ve survived?

As long as I hear you beat in my heart

I shall try to forget that we are apart.

Unedited. The ending seems abrupt. May add more to this.

This IS simply great, Caffeine. How true that how often we imagine our loved ones that they are happy and how wrong we be often. We simply cannot think that they are upset because of our relationship that begun and is now over. But the truth is really very different from what we imagine, as depicted in your poem. Liked yoour poem, HOnestly. ~KA~

Sorry for the lateness of my review. I was having quite a problem regarding my "social standing". Anyways, on to your piece.

"Your love in my heart, has been kept alive
How else do you think I could've survived?"

I love that line. I sincerely do. This is one of those pieces that wakes up the fire in the reader. Normally, people read poems to explore their emotions and to relate to the writer. As weavers of words, we mostly focus on emotions and expose it for all its worth.

This piece of yours was simply wonderful. I was awed by how well you weaved your words.

The content, the message, was blatantly shown, with bits of artful grace that complemented it well.

What makes us fear going back into something that had just been destroyed? Is it our pride? Or is it because we fear the same painful event to take its toll on our weary hearts? It all depends on how we see it, on what makes us tick and live.

Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work.

Oh Caffeine! This is such a beautiful write..
So emotional and sad indeed :(
Often after breaking a relationship these thoughts comes across our mind, which is really a very obvious thing to happen.
"But the truth is what you do not know
For I've never liked my wounds to show."-Very intriguing lines they are.

I think so that this is very much complete in it's own way..
But I think so that you should end up this write with these lines-
"Honestly dear I love you still
And probably, I always will"
These lines will look much better in the ending of the piece (Just a suggestion) :)

But indeed it's a very deep and beautiful write!
Great work :)

"The heart suffers the most, not because of VIOLENCE by other people,
But...Because of SILENCE of our dear ones..."

I think it is perfect. Why do you always want to add more?

I wonder why you would want to make me cry? I don't know what to think, "Perhaps you think I've moved on." But how can I move on if, "Your love in my heart, has been kept alive ... How else do you think I could've survived?" Maybe by moving on in your life, even if you don't move on within your heart. But I can completely agree that, "As long as I hear you beat in my heart ... I shall try to forget that we are apart."
