Confession

Confession

A Poem by Angela Hunter

I have a confession: this incessant procession has got me obsessively pressing towards you

And I don't know the impression this possessive profession is making

I don't know but I question this oppressing depression I feel

Man, I wish I knew discretion, but suppressing this essence feels so much like a transgression against you

Like I'm repressing trusting you

And that's something I can't do

See, you mean the world to me

And you're the one I want my future to be

But please

Don't just listen to me

Because if you're not happy, how can I be?

Don't you see

I want you to feel free

And if you came back, how sweet would that be?

But you won't; you and I both know the tone of your soul

It's cool; she's the one who makes you feel whole

I know that song;

I'll just try to play along

While I wait for my life to move on

Well done. You captured the feeling. I'm only suggesting, but I would use more passionate words. After all, the girl just confessed (it seemed to me she got turned down). Continue writing! :D
