Modern Cinderella

Modern Cinderella

A Poem by deepblue04

Washing dishes,

Help my brothers,

Can’t say no to their request

Clean the house, the car

I feel like the modern day Cinderella

I can’t attract any guys that I want

All else tell me that I’m beautiful

Yet no guys will want to go out with me

You feel so different from the rest

Like you can like me for me

And not for my genetics

You feel so misunderstood from the rest

Now I’m getting the feeling that you like me

From the most simple of all, hugs to talking to me

But at times you ignore me,

You talk to your friends

When I feel we’re alone,

You would probably talk to me a lot

Are you my prince?
