Betrayal 1.0

Never thought a time would come,

When our destinies would part ways

Never thought that the dreams we cherished

would be shattered in a matter of days.

 

I used to think that He made you for me

and that you were meant to be mine.

But I don’t know why you cheated on me

Why did our relation begin to decline?

 

I loved you a lot Dear

You were a part of my soul.

But now that you have left me

For some other guy,

grief inside my heart has taken a toll.

 

Your memories sprinkle the salt on my wounds

Echoes of betrayal break me from within.

I pray that may you suffer the same in your life

That may you pay heavily for this sin.

Kumar, a very heart felt poem. Everyone has gone through betrayal in their life, if they haven't than they are truly blessed. You are a very good poet my friend, I I think you use the written word to express how your heart feels. But please don't let the hurt turn into hate, turn it into peace and love.
