Memory

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

What need have I for coins of Gold

"

Daughter Aris and I

The world has riches oh so rare

but shares them only with a few

What I love is worth so much more

         they are recollections of you

I need so few of this world's goods

having all your thoughts, ways and deeds

They lift my soul to the heavens

where I plant love's garden of seeds

Through your eyes I have seen wonders

so numerous I can't count

But oh such beauty none the less

before God I could not recount

What need have I for coins of gold

they can't buy what my eyes can see

My treasures lie within your smiles

stamped in the mint of memory

Dear Lord, this was so beautiful I swear it touched my soul. Every line is like a burst of overwhelming beauty the not only encourages but pushes and tugs at the reader to read on and crave more. Honestly, I was breathless by the end of it, my eyes were absorbed by each word as was the rest of being, reading this was an experience I wouldn't mind having a few hundred times more. Thank you for sharing.

A love untouched by the likes the Keats, for he had no children--that we know of--and yet you've captured his lyrical soul in these lines... yet made them tell your own sweet, simple song. Nothing can really describe like poems the oddly disjointed and overwhelming emotions children invoke.

I love the message and its presentation here. In the end we only take our memories with us.

Life has countless treasures...endless and numerous miracles.. they come as a gift to our lifes?
we better loved them... or else!
Your gold nugget it's going to followed me to the shelf, sounds good !
Every second counts...every breath we take. It goes fast but not yet ! BRB

A rare portrait of a Father. This is unbelievable. Brilliant and heartwarming.
Do not thank me at all for this review. I should be thanking you for allowing
me to feel the pride of fatherhood. Heartwarming genuine emotion.

Love it! An excellent work of memory and reflection. When they get older, it gets harder to see these things but we see so many onderful things because they make us stop and see them. And then grandchildren come along, and we stop to see it all over again! Thank God for the child! If not for them, we'd all go insane!
