Not Forgotten

Not Forgotten

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

I remember the dark door where we hid from all the rain A dry respite from the storm safe in arms I'd felt no pain

"

I thought I had forgotten

what with spring came back to me

Words un-uttered thoughts we stirred

of the way things use to be

I remember the dark door

where we hid from all the rain

A dry respite from the storm

safe in arms I'd felt no pain

I went back to the small doorway

where happily our loves had played

My heart ached for what could have been

if behind that door we had stayed

With wild, spring, rain and thunder

something wondrous comes this way

Your eyes had said more that night

than your lips could ever say

Author's Note

Tate Morgan
Sometimes the thoughts of the mind take me back to times that seem like yesterday. However the day has set on those times and the new day risen on better ones.
This is a poem set to a 7 syllable count in the meter. It has a simple A.B.C.B. rhyme scheme. The 2nd line of each quatrain rhymes with the 4th.

Another one I can relate to. Beautiful! They say the 'What if's' can kill you but, it's hard to let them go. Very well expressed!

Eyes tell many things that smiles do not, for sometime smiles
are painted on; eyes don't tell lies.

Nicely done

When a kiss is from the heart.. we feel so safe.. we hide to kiss.. and we find to long day in and night for that kiss, Secrets are those kisses that taste so sweet when we give out kisses to love.
The magical eyes are amazing in this poem of love. to embrace that love..and the rain to me is that making love.. in a secret place.
Moments in wich we get lost .. inside that embrace.. is enticing and we long for more of that moment make of silk..
You have done it again... wow

I like this piece, it speaks of love lost and hearts broke, but with as season changes becoming healed again. Hence the thawing spring's sun has returned. The heart may heal, but I feel that it is destined to remember the places, "Where happily our loves had played."

Seo déanta tremble dom agus mo glúine's. An paisean ndáiríre ní leap as an leathanach le gradeur spreagúil sin nach féidir liom a chur in iúl conas a mhothaíonn sé i ndáiríre dom. Ghabh tú mo chroí agus rinneadh smaoineamh mé. You are fíor file an ancients. You have a mhaolú den sórt sin le focail. Den sórt sin píosa stiúdú!
