Worthy of My Friends

Worthy of My Friends

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

Through path and switch with company skipping along the winding road I pass food and accompany with he whom life seldom bestowed

"

To walk the roads of soul strewn streets

with all thoughts we know of living

Leaves us lonesome for others feats

finds sharing to come from giving

Through path with switch and company

skipping along the winding road

I pass food and accompany

with he whom life seldom bestowed

In those who share my few comforts

won't you join me in life's amends
For as long as I walk this earth

may I be worthy of my friends

Author's Note

Tate Morgan
To all who have known the trials of a life beset with tribulation. I would just like to say the things that make life worth living are not to be found in pursuit of wealth. I never remembered anyone fondly for the station they held in life.True wealth for me is held within the hearts of those I have loved and who dared to love me.

This is really an wise poem, rich in philosophy learnt from your experiences in life!

These lines are jewels:

"finds sharing to be in giving"

"For as long as I walk this earth
may I be worthy of my friends"

Thanks for sharing!

Cheers...

Your opening sentence, in fact, that whole verse is remarkable. The words spoken here are beautiful with a wonderfully pleasant flow. Your son is lucky to have you.

my heart cries daily that my son & daughter would have the chance to have a dad again.. One day soon they will. as long as my heart cries it will happen because in the crying i am making my kids heart cries happen. Thanks Tate for this poem. You are a great man & poet.

the flow of this poem is easy to follow as always. the words are beautiful and ones that we should live by. I love the last stanza and the last line as well.

You certainly are worthy of your friends if your poetry is any measure... your son is lucky to have a dad who is involved in every way with his life. :-)

beautifully written. It's true we're happy when we are able to help other people. I especially loved the last two lines, where you doubt if your worthy of the friends you have. Excellent piece of work.
