Stranger, Would You Mind?

Stranger, Would You Mind?

A Poem by Azure Montessa (Blue)
"

A message of a spellbound girl to a stranger.

"

Stranger, would you mind?

If I take the honored seat
     Next to your glorious throne?
Would you grant me the privilege
Of breathing divine air as yours?

Stranger, would you mind?

If I dip my fervent fingertips
Into your sea of golden locks?
Would you allow a mere mortal
To caress your face carved like a cherubim?

Stranger, would you mind?

If I dare steal a kiss
Just to taste heaven from your lips?
Would you accept my willing soul
And take me now as your own?

Stranger, would you mind?

If you command your celestial crowd
To suspend forever in this moment?
Would you trade your divinity
And stay in this city bus with me?

Just another attempt in free verse. This poem was inspired when I was in a bus, sitting next to a gorgeous guy. :x

I like this. Every once in a while you come across a person that makes you feel compelled to ask these exact questions, to try to learn something about yourself from a stranger that you have fallen in love with for what may only be a brief period time but is still just as powerful. Very well expressed!!

Yes, BlueZan. I hope you come across a person like this, too. :x
This is definitely a curious glance into the female psyche; never in a million years would I guess that people are composing poetry while sitting on the bus. It's also kind of humbling to see that what goes through a woman's head is far more articulate than what goes through ours. We're.... um... less subtle. Another intriguing work from you. Thanks for the read request. :)

I liked the title right away. If you are a natural rhymer free-verse is a bit more difficult. I am still a work in progress where free-verse is concerned.. thank you for the rr. Nice story line in this.. Rose

Haha, glad I made you smile! Thanks, Mike! :x
This was awesome. I think we have all fallen in love with someone who shares our morning commute or goes to the same coffee shop as you. How these people can capture our imagination. This write gives live to this dynamic splendidly.

it is not everyday you meet a godess on the bus you have to do all you can in that situation to compel her to stay
