And that was how...

And that was how...

A Poem by Azure Montessa (Blue)
"

10/23/13

"

Oh, child...

Has anybody told you a tale of a love once true?

Well, it all began one summer

in a coffee shop next town.

It was Friday. It was sunset.

She was writing. He was smiling...

And that was how I met your father.

Every Friday sunset, we went to the cafe.

In between cappucinos and chocolate cookies,

we smiled and talked

and laughed and dreamed...

And that was how I loved your father.

Then came winter Fridays

but he still had his summer smile.

I was sure he was "The One"

so I introduced him to my best friend...

And that was how I lost your father.

Author's Note

Azure Montessa (Blue)
It's been more than a week since I last wrote a poem. I've been very busy in school these past few days...

This is my first draft.. I think I somehow had forgotten the art of editing... But I like it the way it is so...put up with it. Haha.

Anyway, thanks for reading! :)

This was wonderful. Picturesque melancholy. Beautifully scribed!

OHMYGOSH!!! This is sooooo sad! Why do you write so many sad things?! Not that I can complain, they're good too. ;) Nice job, as usual.

Oh man. The first two parts made me smile till the last and you took my smile away and made me sad. Well done!

nice twist of a story...leads one 2 wonder about the details...why would an ex-girlfriend wonder to a child that was not her's?

Is the child being spoken to your child or your friend's child? Ah...you ended too abruptly...which brings questions to the readers mind...which in effect does make your poem attractive...but I wished you wrote a little more...nevertheless...I like!

Ah tis better to love than never to have loved at all.

I really like the simplicity of this poem - you take the reader through so much and the ending was quite powerful.
