Uneducated generations

Uneducated generations

A Poem by Ashley Lytle
"

A poem about the so called heroes we learn about in our schools and the oppressed who are silenced.

"
Uneducated generations
Worshiping creators?
But aren't they really just traitors
Murders and thief's fill our history books
Glorified and praised for their success
But what about the millions killed
Those who were evicted from their land
Their names are filled with blood
But the children are taught they're heroes
By discovering and creating
Do you mean massacring and stealing
Let's worship who died unfairly
Honor the wrong and forgotten
Yet those who call for a change are silenced
Their requests remain unheard
How will we learn from past mistakes
And honor the murdered
If all we teach are lies
