Should I go?

Should I go?

A Poem by Ashley Lytle

Will you tell me
Just tell me if you hate me
If you find me to be annoying
Are my tactics to get to know you
Nothing but a waste of time
For it is my desire
To learn your history
Your deepest fears
And your biggest dreams
To learn what makes your heart beat
The passions that you've developed
Just tell me if it annoys you
For I'll leave you be to grow
If you wish me to evaporate
It just takes one little word
And I'll disappear just like that
I'll say to you, "Goodbye my friend.
I'll be here for you always."
And I'll mean every word
For I just want what's best for you
Even if it means I must go
