Method to Maddness

Method to Maddness

A Poem by Sami

Everyones given up

and I don't blame them.

How could I?

When I build walls around myself.

Not letting anyone inside is what I do best.

Putting on a mask for the world to see.

In the rare chance my guard is let down

I beg of you not to crush me.

Because I've seen the other side,

and I really don't want to go back.

I enjoy it here, carefree and wild,

You see me without a mask.

Suddenly you're gone.

Crushing me was not apart of your plan,

I know.

However now the world is guilty.

Guilty of leaving and being dishonest.

Never trusting again, and never tearing down the walls

I rebuild them with pride

knowing it can't be destroyed this time.

There's a method to my maddness

I promise.

I'm doing what I do best.
