All Alone

All Alone

A Poem by Arte Por Vida

All alone
Inside and out
Despite outstretched arms
I'm cold and empty

I've sent strings
This and that direction
But they float down
Left to fray

Life is changing
So many strains
left, right, up, down
I'm breaking

Floodgates open
No dam to stop them
Every morsel is drenched
Calm is just a fable

Pain slinks around
Taking on all forms
Good and bad
Caused and accidental

Hope seems dim
Lost is the norm
Solitude is consistent
Existing all alone
