Shine your light my little one

shine it bright, burst out like the sun

use your gifts to heal the broken

let humanity come to life, be awoken

don't shy away from the pain it brings

embrace it like an old friend, with warmth in hand

let it seep out of every breath within you

until you feel like it will swallow you whole

let it bring you to ashes and rise you up again

be the phoenix in your story, rebirth, glory

let it envelope you in it's promise of purity and warmth

let it be your guiding star, always pointing north

shine your light my beautiful friend

shine it so bright that you begin to live again

The first line makes this read to me like a mother talking to a newborn baby, a subject now close to me. An intention so sweet, to have love and ambition from nose to feet, it's such a touching thing to see.

This poem is in a sense a letter to the inner child that we all have, often we forget the light that we have in ourselves and that we also need kindness and love from the older part of us. Thank you for the wonderful review.
