Lotus Flower

Lotus Flower

A Poem by Belle

warrior returns home

eventually,

but with all the deathly

wings, the lightning

thunder, earthquake

in that salt-box,

she hungers  for the lotus flower

than see and kiss familiar faces --

Reason and
purpose, along with a weary aimlessness, combine to create a curious
contradiction in this one. Desire and resignation, weariness of the
world along with the flares of passion, in the lightning bolt, the roar
of thunder. Intriguing paradoxes of a soul at odds with itself.
Oh to escape the cares of this world! Escape would make us
gods...

Well written, as always, Belle.

seems you are returning... re expressing what it is to be you.
Hard to do that - come back... so much isn't as it was but even YOU have changed as well. Hi Belle - it's been a while.

Oh, that was really intense... you hide so much sadness is such short piece. I remember the one we talk about the lotus flower's effect on us in the myth on a perticular piece, and this one brings another pain that needs a medication badly...sigh... short but it expound in very deep details... great!

I like the thoughts and vision create by the short poem. Each line with a reason and purpose. I like the desire of the lotus flower. Sometime hard to return home. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

. "Every warrior returns home eventually..." beautifully written...it is such a deep thought.
She hungers for the lotus flower, the beauty of which provides an escape from the harsh reality of a war-weary soul. A poem that transcends the mindscspe to touch the heart.

Even the hardiest of warriors eventually return home, hearts weary, longing for the peace of the Lotus, you have been off the charts lately, you bloom just like the picture, peaceful, composed and lovely.
