The Flower In My Hand

The Flower In My Hand

A Poem by Bluebell Hibi

The flower in my hand
Slowly starts to bloom
And you smile towards me
Chasing away the gloom

The flower in my hand
Slowly starts to grow
It creeps towards the light
blooming in the pleasant glow

The flower in my hand
Slowly starts to wither
The petals fall apart
And they gently quiver

My hand is now empty
I guess you never knew
The flower in my hand
Was only meant for you
