Night of Faeries

Previous Version
This is a previous version of Night of Faeries.

Evening falls across the heather
And the stars come out to dance.
The faerie folk come to life
And fill the night with their lyrical chants.

The mists on the moors swirl and caper about,
Taking rock and tree to embrace.
The faerie folk make merry and dance about
'Neath the silver of the moon's face.

Featured Review

Though I can say there are a view poetic things that I disagree with, I feel this poem is extremely solid. While I'm not sure there's actually a point, the imagery itself is quite enjoyable. If we made a museum of words-as-art, this would be one of the main attractions. What it lacks in purpose it makes up in beauty.

Oh what a beautiful morning sunrise. And the evening stars and moon are more beauftiful. What a wonderful picture you have painted.
Love the imagery

The twinkling stars their canopy bed, dancing and flitting to their heart's content. The fireflies of the night, flashing to and fro, their lyrical notes sighs among dreamer's lips. I love the delightful scene you portray!

With the vivid imagery and feelings of pure hear....this poem was a joy to read.
It left me hungry for more story...but ended in just the right place.

Intriguing piece. Very cool. Feels like a story that circulate among the Druids and Celts long ago.

I enjoy writing and drawing as a means of expression and introspection. I like to imagine an image or setting and either write about it or draw a picture of it, usually while listening to music. .. more..
