Morphed

Morphed

A Poem by Carissa Marie

Pour my blood to the fertile soil,
'Til my agony grows and bear fruit for you to eat.
Feed from the tragedy of my sorrows,
And weep for me.
Weep for the injustices,
I have lived through.
Save each tear that would fall from your eyes,
As a reminder of every harsh word that you said,
Every stroke of your whip that you unleashed
 That marked my fragile body,
And every slap that I have endured,
Until I became numb.
Feel for me -
As I have felt for you.
Do not succumb to the guilt,
For that would have been your loss.
Instead, relive my memories,
Over and over again,
Until my memories becomes yours,
And I become you.
