Stripped away

Stripped away

A Poem by Caroline B A Maguire
"

Sometimes God reduces us to ashes in order to create us anew

"
When you are at nothing
When everything is taken away
Your partner first
Then your work
Then your family
And all the while your mind
Where do you go
From nothing?
But my foundation is strong
In my Saviour Jesus
He stripped me bare
From the world
Then when I was at nothing
It was there I found
Once again
Him

And so I stayed for a while
Just us two
While He told me of the plan he had for me
It's perfect I said
How could it be anything less?
And then
After a time we began to rebuild
One dream at at time

Life can be tough and at times we can seem to hit rock bottom. Digging your way out of that hole needs a helping hand. You've described your own way well here Caroline. I know from my own experience that family has pulled me back from the manic abyss.
Look after yourself!
All the best.
Alan
