tuesday

A Poem by Joe Kwak

we slammed drinks
in a half lit bar
on the Tuesday night,
we called our Friday.
no one danced,
it wasn’t that sort of scene.
the drinks went down better without music
without noise.
you couldn’t see out into the world "
no window.
all you could imagine
is this
to be your truth,
and your happiness.
