Just some thoughts

If you knew I’d die tomorrow

Would you say good-bye today?

Or would you roll your eyes

And look the other way

 

Life's too short to hold grudges

Regardless if you hate me

You insist your life would be better

If death would come take me

 

So if your dreams came true

And I was to fade away

If you knew I’d die tomorrow

Would you say I love you today?

Aaron this is a complex question.If they don't like me today or yesterday and they knew I would die tomorrow then I would think they were feeling pity and the friendship wouldn't be real.My saying is if you weren't my friend in life then don't come to my funeral.What would you prefer?

Thanks for the review James.... people are stubborn. I didn't think of it when I wrote this last night but I did as I type this review. My step dad has been stubborn... hadn't seen his mom in nearly 11 years over some harsh things said.... she passed last week. It fits perfectly with the theory people are stubborn.

Whats interesting is I read that Warren Zevon is a major inspiration to the writers of the show Californication which is one of my favorites. Watched the entire series :)

Hopefully whoever you asked this to, said yes. Life is too short to hold grudges or to hate someone. Besides the fact that, hating someone doesn't always hurt them, it usually hurts the person who is hating more. But anyways sad, but nice poem.

I don't plan to ask the question... I hope I know the answer haha.... I agree... it doesn't really hurt me but hating someone is a waste of energy and usually the root cause of the hate or dislike is the thoughts the present in their head and not a good reason to hate someone. Life is too short for hate... like Will Ferrell said in the movie Semi Pro "Everybody love Everybody" lol

You can write really sad ones sometimes ..a poem that hopefully has met with the answer yes. I completely agree with you. Life is too short and we shouldn't be wishing for anyone's death.

Haha... I have noticed I write something dark and sad... the spiritual... then romantic... then dark lol
I try to just write whatever comes out of my mind that day. To be honest.... this poem started when I went to change my little headline thing. I wrote If I died tomorrow would you tell me goodbye today? And I just kind of asked some questions directed to someone and posted it. :) Which of my moods do you prefer? Oh... and thanks for the review :)
