Lavender lullaby

Lavender lullaby

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

To a friend who has bled

"

A smiling blade once kissed your skin

Bleeding ruby emotions from within

For pain inside could not be carried

One would bleed or soon be buried

Yet your life holds a silver sunrise

In the deep recesses of your eyes

And hope is fire and shades of light

In the darkest corners of your night

So I sing you now this living sigh

May you rest in this lavender lullaby...

I love this poem! Great work. I enjoyed your addition of various colors throughout the poem. "Ruby emotions." "Silver sunrise" (I love that line!). "Hope is fire" (that's yellow/golden/orange/red). And you bring in "light" and "darkness" too! Black and white. Or shades of gray? Oooo. And, of course, the "lavender lullaby."

This is an excellent work! You use the universality of colors to convey feelings and such. Great work! I am impressed.

this is so lovely, my dear. and something that was really nice for me to read right now. the 'lavender lullaby" and the "silver sunrise" really stood out to me... partly because i'm prone to alliteration, and partly because they were just plain lovely.

love it, darling

miss you

How sweet and special.

It feels so peaceful after, "Bleeding ruby emotions from within." A pain so deep, a fire so dark, that my night feels endless. But as I listen to your song, my heart now feels a silver sunrise as you sing this lavendar lullaby. Beautiful.

I love your lullabies, they are darkest sweet chocolate chili fondue word excellence, like this one, better than electric blankets and warmed honey milk. And such loss holds within it treasures of the only answer there is...this life this blessing this reality this faith this tragicomedy. You command simple beauty with sweet eloquence and transformative honesty in your earnest sharing.

The artist's way of writing.. using colours to express emotions and observations... so lovely

'Yet your life holds a silver sunrise.' a phrase to suggest the value of life, its richness..?

'And hope is fire and shades of light in the darkest corners of your night'... a vibrant touch and delicate hue.

Thank you for sharing.
