I miss the color of your eyes

I miss the color of your eyes

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

Pondering the stirring alone of me...

"

I stand mystic on this auburn shore

Pondering the stirring alone of me

Waves fluttering like birds all astir …

Salt from the sea tastes of your skin

Zephyrs like your warm lips on my face

And gentle whispers voiced in my ear …

How I miss the color of your eyes

Same color as birthing skies at dawn

They melt me magic miles over miles …

Now you flitter come in daydreams

One day I’ll see the sails of your ship

As clouds roll on like the azure waves …

Drifting us mystic on this auburn shore…

I think I know why I love your work so much. Your unique dream like descriptions bring your words so much life, whether it be a happy, sad or just contemplative piece. The feel of this started off contemplative but its sad as well. I love it!

I know whenever I come to your page I will be reading something profound full of inspiring words and luscious vocabulary. For those who don't know what flitter means might mistake that as a typo as the u is so close to the i. The tone of this poem matches the font beautifully and well, it's just has so many smile factor's...

I'm curious if I'm not reading this well or if in the fourth stanza you meant
Your flitter comes in daydreams?
Let me know please.. :)

You've done it again!!! The lines 'One day I’ll see the sails of your ship

As clouds roll on like the azure waves …'were just fabulous. The serenity of the tone was so smooth.

The words here paint a very beautiful picture. Very nicely written. You always paint such a serene scene with your pen.

Wow. Totally took my breathe way. This is exactly painting with words, pure poetry.

This is dainty...and dramatically romantic...It's almost Victorian in feel...like something Elizabeth Browning might write...

- They melt me magic miles over miles...

Amply filled with mystical and longing beauty. A beauty wonderfully worshipped. Your words create a magnitude of images in me, mostly mystical and fragile somehow. Reading it over and over again it still feels like you'd breathe softly the words of your utter love on her warm skin through the distance... so pure the feeling.
Stunning piece.
