When You Didn't Say Goodbye

When You Didn't Say Goodbye

A Poem by Chelsea

I wish you said goodbye,

then maybe it wouldn’t hurt so much.

But you just left without a word

How could you leave?

Did you think I didn’t care?

I did care,

I wiped away your tears.

I held you,

so you wouldn’t slip away.

I loved you,

when you couldn’t love yourself.

I taught you how to walk again,

after she made you fall.

And you didn’t know how to get up,

I taught you how to trust again.

Then you left with silence.

It makes me ache again with forgotten love. But we must make the best of these moments by learning from them, taking something positive away in the message. Excellent poem.
