Villanelle

Villanelle

A Poem by Chelsea M

To see life in its purist form

To see everything through eyes that won’t regret

Not afraid to battle the coming storm

Knowing there are loving arms to keep you warm

Creating gregarious memories we shall never forget

To se life in its purist form

Coming alive like being reborn

Taking every breathe with each silhouette of the sunset

Not afraid to battle the coming storm

Haphazard feelings exploding like popcorn

It’s never to late to change the path that has been set

To see life in its purist form

Living to be only yourself so your perspective isn’t garbled and torn

See beyond the flagrant touch and you’ll be set

Not afraid to battle the coming storm

My inspiration flows my genial body will be forlorn

To see life in its purist form

Not afraid to battle the coming storm

I really like this. It flows great and is worded very nicely. The only thing that really throws me off is the popcorn thing. It just stands out and doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the poem. Great job. :)
