For Years For Me

You loved

Toasts you made

Many of my family's caskets you carried

Rules you broke

Stories you told

Dishes you washed

Beds you made

Seats you saved

Jokes you told

Smiles you flashed

Hands you shook

Games you played

Hours you danced

Concerts you rocked

Tears you cried

Lips you kissed

Curves you touched

Coins you tossed

Wishes you made

Dogs you slept with

Many miles you drove

Many miles you flew

Burnt meals you ate

All to be with me

Thank you

acknowledgement of someone that served in a labor of love in practice; very practical and gracious

this was really sweet work, really beautiful. this was particularly good for me as sometimes we take our loved ones for granted and forget everything they've done for us, while we seemingly exalt our own good deeds. brilliant

love will and should surmount any and all problems to reach its goal, this poem relates that so well

This is very romantic and kinda tender. Showing appreciation for others is one of the most important things anyone can do.
