Budtime Blossoms

Floral curtains flutter in spring’s fresh breeze

Sleepy green turtle slowly rushes by

Mockingbirds love songs rustles trees fresh leaves

Bumble bees buzz by to try honey pie

White fluffy puppies frolic in brown mud

Spotted fawn sneak to eat garden’s sweet corn

In peace jersey cows doze and chew their cud

Mother hens lay their breakfast eggs for morn

Fuzzy kittens play hockey with beetles

Restless woodpecker steadily batters

Cool babbling creek feeds thirsty weasels

Diamond snake sun basks, resting his rattlers

Nature’s grand commencement of spring has spread

Budtime put blackberry winter to bed

Beautiful poem, love Spring, my favorite season. Although this year here in Oklahoma, somehow skipped Spring and went straight to Summer. And it is a hot one for sure.

Quite pleasant to read, with some feelings of nostalgia and warm sentiments! You deserve to do well, in that contest! Keep writing!
