Too Good a Lover

Too Good a Lover

A Poem by Noemi

I once looked at my friend, and noticed she could be something more.

I looked at another good pal of mine, and realized my heart felt sore.

I turned left and smelled a romance, I shifted right and touched a feeling.

My whole life I’m looking for more, constantly reeling.

One day I looked on another, better friend of 7 years.

He told me we couldn’t be seen, and I freely shed tears.

Never once had I wanted to keep him, her, or any other.

All I yearned for was a constant friend, one who didn’t see me as a lover.

first i have to say the structure and cadence and rhythm and rhyme of this is great I hear your voice so clearly as I speak these lines. As for the expression you could of just come over and shot me in the heart it would of been much more humane instead my heart is rolled in a ball weeping in the corner of the room behind me and its gonna take a lot of convincing to get it to jump back into my skin.
