Voodoo Lady

Voodoo Lady

A Poem by Chris Micha

"Voodoo Lady"

There's a Voodoo Doll
Held captive by a Voodoo Lady
Bound by a Voodoo spell
Its mind is Voodoo crazy

She holds it firmly in her hands
While laying it in a Voodoo Lily lined bed
As the Witching Hour draws near
She paints it Lipstick Red

The Sorceress works her magic
From its head to its toes
Causing an involuntary reaction
As the Voodoo Doll explodes

Then while still on fire
The Voodoo Doll's mind still crazy
Throws the Sorceress down onto the bed
And devours the Voodoo Lady!

:)~

Your welcome.
HA! Are you trying to tell me something here, Chris? You have such a twisted imagination, ha. Not that, that is a bad thing... I just never expected this from the title. LAWL!

Or else........
Found it interesting, was wondering what she was going to do with the doll, then wondering who the doll was supposed to represent, then that last stanza just came out of nowhere and made me laugh. Didn't expect it, but I liked it :)

Thank you so much Brook :)
Mind mind didn't go to the gutter until I saw your comment!!! Obviously, this poem appeals to me, as I adore anything quirky and dark!! The repetion of voodoo in the first stanza gives the poem a more Tim Burton cute-dark kind of feel. I also love how at the end of the poem the tables turn and the voodoo doll gets the voodoo lady. There are only a few little things that I can see here for improvement. In this poem you ryhme every other line ( the second and the last). But the lines don't actually really ryhme; the words are just near ryhmes. Lady and crazy don't actually ryhme. Personally, I think it's okay like this. The poem has a light feel to it; not like some deep metaphorical stuff that would require strict ryhming schemes. Very cute poem! I can see it as a little Tim Burton clip inside my head.

thanks for yours to:)
For once, your poem didn't have me rack my brain looking for the hidden message (or is there?)
I like this mixture of black magic and humour (black humour?)
No matter, good job as always.
