Dark The Room Of No Return

03-28-2013

Who is there, in the room where I go?

Knowing that it is a place of rest, it is for my soul.

I hear the tiny bells around her ankles.

Asking again, who is there, she never answers.

In a dark corner of the room she awaits.

Staying at my desk, I pretend to be awake.

Sleep has taken me into a dream of reason.

Feeling I am safe, I forget about our secret.

It is night, and she still awaits in hiding.

I know she is there though, but she is quiet.

The room is large, dark, and like a forest.

Bored from the ordeal of waiting she comes forward.

Torment from discovery is more than she can take.

Late and past the time of reason, she is awake.

Sleep was too much for her too, but I hear her breathing.

She stands there in front of me, very revealing.

I don't know what to say, but her eyes are smiling.

Thinking it is like a game, she laughs inside.

We are both in a whirlwind of no return.

Hurt becomes a magnet of fire with no words.
