Folding Back The Veil

If already in heaven would you go back to Earth?

Of course you would, if God asked a favor.

Willing to do his bidding, every knee shall bow.

Out of peaceful heaven, we would immediately go.

Down to Earth, we would return to help those in trouble.

Only a word, out the darkness of night, brings help to even one.

A single candle of flickering light says that you are not alone.

Souls in trouble, never fear, there is the Holy Ghost.

Lowly man on Earth finds solace in heavenly peace.

Turmoils and troubles, and sickness will leave.

*"Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead,

cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give."

He told his disciples this, and they did it ever always.

They took his words and kept them, even after he left.

Into the darkness, we would go, even into Hell.

Death and demons all around us, we fear not the Devil.

Taking some poor soul out of the clutches of deadly sin,

we would rescue any and all who call out his name sincerely.

The name of Jesus brings on the almighty Host of Heaven.

Folding back the veil, there are multitudes, always ready to help.

* St. Mathew 10:08
