My Dog Beats Me

My Dog Beats Me

A Poem by Cassidy McIntosh
"

A funny poem about my Chihuahua

"

My Dog Beats Me

In the dead of night, when the world is still
My Chihuahua moves in for the kill.

Some dogs bark, some dogs pace.
Socrates would rather slap me in the face.

A mere three pounds he may weigh,
But his right hook will put you away.

From personal experience, I can tell you this.
Stay away from this pup when he is pissed.

Just yesterday morning, I was sleeping so well.
But I woke with a start, in Chihuahua hell.

Two lefts and a right he did throw.
Determined that dominance he would show.

I think he’s still mad I interrupted his pleasure,
While trying to mount my stuffed cow, at his leisure.

I knew that the beating soon would start
When I was forced to pull him and the cow apart.

Watching tv at the end of the night
If I wasn’t petting him I was in for a fight

So he waited for me to lay down in bed

Three pounds of fury, launched straight at my head

This is an excellent poem. You captured the spirit of the true CUJO of this world "The Chihuahua". The poem flowed very well from beginning to end and it was very enjoyable. I will forward the poem to the Chihuahua owners that I know so they may also enjoy this great write.
