Writing - A Poem

Writing - A Poem

A Poem by Alice
"

A poem about writing. (and personally, I'm quite proud of it)

"
The new page is my canvas
Fresh, clean, and white
No mark yet adorns it
Nothing yet to spite

My eager hands grasp it
That red, tapered quill
And dip it into black
Careful not to spill

A whole world is to face
It's shining, new beginning
All within the reach
of just one mind and pen to get it

The words however come slowly
Under this sharp end
Tediously shaping curves
and lines and bends to send

A word comes, then a sentence
Then a paragraph, then a whole
On this now markéd canvas
The pen now makes it all

The new page has been filled
Words, frustrations, and all
There is much to spite and hate
But much more to simply behold

About
My brain likes to spout paragraphs that I can't always get down on paper fast enough. I hope I'll be able to do it this time round. more..
