A Life of a Teenager

Smart or stupid?

Skinny or fat?

Strong or weak?

These are the struggles that teenagers face

Pretty or ugly?

Popular or uncool?

Right or wrong?

These are some of the struggles I face.

Struggle laughs in our face

He tempts us 

to change

to fight 

to suffer

and he has even caused death

Being a teen is hard.

the stress 

the fear

the struggles

But in a way we make it through

Are you struggling?

Keep your head up.

A life of a teenager can feel like hell 

but there is light at the end of the tunnel...

Can you see it?

This is good!! I face all the things you listed in the poem. The stress is wicked hard as a teenager espically in your senior year of high school. It sucks, but it will pass!

-Sigh- being a teen is tough. We go through alot I know I have and I'm pretty certain that most teends have something they need to challange. The most important part is that we push through it all to become boring adults.. There is no easy stage in life is there? Oh well!!!!!

i liked the fact that you asked the reader a question- are you struggling?

other then that the poem was surface level when it came to emotion or delving in, but overall for a teenager it is a good literal read and may bring hope to others going through tough times--there is such a pressure for youngsters today to keep up with the ever-changing society in which most are not ready for--and shouldn't be ready for!!
